Handcrafted Kiln-Fired Stoneware Clay Jewelry, Handbuilt Pottery & Tiles

Handcrafted
These pendants, buttons and earrings are designed, handcrafted, glazed and kiln-fired in my home studio. After experimenting and refining the process over the last few years, I can offer pendants in many different shapes, styles and glaze colors. I sign the back of each pendant with my initials.

Glazing & Firing
Please note that they are glazed and fired in my kiln just like pottery dishes, and may break if dropped on a hard surface. The glazes used are non-toxic and lead-free. Most pendants include a silver-plated jump ring. Pendants, buttons & earrings are glazed on the back, the large cross-shaped pendants are not.

Colors & Measurements
Due to variations in clay and glaze, colors may vary slightly from pictures. Pendants measure approximately 1/8″ – 3/16″ thick. Cross-shaped pendants are approximately 1/4″ thick.

Kathryn Depew, Owner & Artist

After admiring and collecting pottery for several years, I had the opportunity in 2006 to begin pottery lessons. The feel of the clay immediately captured my imagination, and I was hooked! Later, the idea of clay pendants and earrings fired with beautiful pottery glazes came to my mind. Since that day I have learned that artists have been making clay jewelry throughout history! I am thrilled to continue this tradition, while using my own ideas and imagination.

My desire is to offer handcrafted jewelry to people who enjoy unique handcrafted pieces. Customer responses have continued to buoy my eagerness to explore the endless possibilities in shape, texture and glaze colors.  Please click on the banner above to visit the Cotton Ridge Pottery web site.
